Madison Healthy Neighborhood Canvass August 4, 2026 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM CT Goodman South Public Library, 2222 S Park St, Madison, WI 53713 Help PPAWI connect with community members with the affordable, inclusive, and non-judgmental care available at Planned Parenthood! Volunteers will go door-to-door engaging neighbors in conversation about PPWI's services such as birth control, STI testing and treatment, cancer screenings and annual reproductive health checkups, and gender affirming care! Changing Hearts and Minds on Planned Parenthood August 5, 2026 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM CT Location shared upon registration, Milwaukee, WI Talking about ending a pregnancy and Planned Parenthood services is one of the best ways you can stand up for reproductive freedom; but where do you start? Sometimes we get caught in debates or arguments and lose sight of the people who are impacted. For this reason, PPAWI is eager to share the Conversational Approach with you. Rooted in psychology, this interactive 2-hour training gives you the tools to have meaningful conversations and become more effective advocates. This approach to advocacy is used throughout PPAWI from staff to volunteers with the goal of changing hearts and minds. Using the approach, we’ll reconsider our assumptions about what it looks like to support the freedom to decide, acknowledge that people may have conflicted feelings, and find common ground based on shared values.

Healthy Neighborhood Canvass Milwaukee August 6, 2026 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM CT Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin, 302 N Jackson St, Milwaukee, WI 53202 Join us for our Healthy Neighborhood Canvass on Thursday, August 6th as we connect with community members and share health resources available through PPWI. Volunteers will go door-to-door engaging neighbors in conversation about the affordable, inclusive, and non-judgmental care available at health centers across Wisconsin. During the canvass, volunteers will help raise awareness about a variety of services offered through PPWI, including: • Birth control and contraceptive care • STI testing and treatment • HIV prevention resources, including PrEP and PEP • Cervical cancer screenings and wellness exams • Low-cost and confidential health resources available regardless of insurance status. This canvass is focused on making sure community members are aware there are health resources available to them close to home. No prior canvassing experience is required. GET FRESH August 15, 2026 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM CT La Crosse Public Library, 800 Main St, La Crosse, WI 54601 Come volunteer with us at the 5th annual Back-to-School Readiness Event! This event brings together multiple organizations throughout the La Crosse community to support students as they GET FRESH for school! Backpacks are filled with school supplies for students to take with them, haircuts and braiding are available on a first come first serve basis, and food is provided!

We will be celebrating our city's awesome LGBTQ+ community, connecting attendees to Planned Parenthood's health services, and showing off all the ways for supporters to get involved with PPAWI! Back 2 School Bash: Backpack Packing Session! August 19, 2026 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM CT Planned Parenthood Northwest Community Center, 5370 W Fond Du Lac Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53216 Back 2 School Bash is BACK! We need your help packing backpacks with school supplies, toiletries, sanitary products, and other goodies - all of which we will be giving out FOR FREE to the families we serve in our community. Each year, we see hundreds of folks across the community, joining us for our block party celebration where they also get connected to likeminded organizations, committed to providing quality care people need.
