Bad Bill SB 236: Stop Indiana lawmakers from further criminalizing abortion access.

Bad Bill SB 182: SB 182 erases the lived experiences of trans and nonbinary people by conflating sex and gender, banning trans people from using the facility that aligns with their gender identity in correctional facilities, and banning trans people from changing gender markers on birth certificates. Please contact your Senator today and ask for a NO vote on SB 182. 

Bad Bill SB 88: SB 88 requires teaching importance of marriage before having children as mandatory curriculum of “Good Citizen Instruction” in public schools, a sneaky way to promote an abstinence teaching mandate that conflicts with evidence-based sex education standards, public health guidelines, and students’ diverse family structures and beliefs. Please contact your Senator today and ask for a NO vote on SB 88.

Good Bill HB 1413: Indiana’s abortion ban has reduced access to essential health care, with no system to track the harm or deaths caused by denial of care. HB 1413 would require the state to study the ban’s impact on the ob-gyn workforce, birth outcomes, access to care, and maternal and infant health costs. HB 1413 has still not had a committee hearing. Help us urge the House Public Health committee to schedule the bill for a hearing by contacting your representative and asking them to support this bill today.

Good Bill SB 198: Momnibus is a collection of bills that tackle postpartum depression, provides Medicaid for doulas, and coverage for preeclampsia screenings — a preventable and manageable condition that is one of the leading causes of maternal mortality. Contact your Senator to support this bill while you still can.
