Join us for our Healthy Neighborhood Canvass on Sunday, July 19th as we connect with community members and share health resources available through PPWI. Volunteers will go door-to-door engaging neighbors in conversation about the affordable, inclusive, and non-judgmental care available at health centers across Wisconsin. During the canvass, volunteers will help raise awareness about a variety of services offered through PPWI, including: • Birth control and contraceptive care • STI testing and treatment • HIV prevention resources, including PrEP and PEP • Cervical cancer screenings and wellness exams • Low-cost and confidential health resources available regardless of insurance status. This canvass is focused on making sure community members are aware there are health resources available to them close to home. No prior canvassing experience is required. Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin is teaming up with the Comité Sin Fronteras, a grassroots immigrants rights organization, to educate our community about the role our state and federal government plays in expanding (and restricting) people's access to reproductive health care, and the fundamental right to pursue residency and/or citizenship in the United States. Attendees will be connected to reproductive and immigration rights champions in our community, learn more about the work our organizations are doing to protect our communities from government overreach, and the role you can play to help our shared mission.
