Intro to Storytelling Training May 5, 2025 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM ET (Virtual Event), Where Ever You Are, Philadelphia, PA 19012 Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates (PPPA) is invested in storytellers and the power of storytelling as a means to create change. Stories are able to humanize issues, evoke empathy, and demonstrate the urgent necessity of health care access. Training is essential to developing storytellers who can speak to the real impact of policies and decisions. PPPA's strategic approach to storyteller development includes you taking this first step, the storyteller 101 training. PPPA offers training to equip storytellers with the necessary skills and resources to share their personal experiences effectively: * Training can help you feel prepared and empowered to develop and share your story. * Training topics include developing your story of self, public speaking, media training, and self care. * Training incorporates discussion and examination of stigma to prepare volunteers to have meaningful conversations. * PPPA will provide training materials and toolkits for volunteers.
