Changing Hearts and Minds on Planned Parenthood- Virtual May 27, 2026 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM CT (Virtual Event) Wisconsin Talking about abortion access and Planned Parenthood services is one of the best ways you can stand up for our health care; but where do you start? Sometimes we get caught in debates or arguments and lose sight of the people who are impacted. For this reason, PPAWI is eager to share the Conversational Approach with you. Rooted in psychology, this interactive 2-hour training gives you the tools to have meaningful conversations and become more effective advocates. This approach to advocacy is used throughout PPAWI from staff to volunteers with the goal of changing hearts and minds. Using the approach, we’ll reconsider our assumptions about what it looks like to support the freedom to decide, acknowledge that people may have conflicted feelings, and find common ground based on shared values.

We're re-launching our core team of leaders who will help shape the actions we take, here in Milwaukee. Are you an advocate of Reproductive Health Access, Reproductive Rights, and Reproductive Justice? This is the space for you! We are here to empower community leaders to find ways, big and small, to enshrine access to the care we need. Our first meeting will be focused on identifying areas of advocacy to pursue, reviewing the council's structure, and learn about other grassroots actions that can be taken through Planned Parenthood. Healthy Neighborhood Canvass Milwaukee June 2, 2026 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM CT Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin, 302 N Jackson St, Milwaukee, WI 53202 Join us for our Healthy Neighborhood Canvass on Tuesday, June 2nd as we connect with community members and share health resources available through PPWI. Volunteers will go door-to-door engaging neighbors in conversation about the affordable, inclusive, and non-judgmental care available at health centers across Wisconsin. During the canvass, volunteers will help raise awareness about a variety of services offered through PPWI, including: • Birth control and contraceptive care • STI testing and treatment • HIV prevention resources, including PrEP and PEP • Cervical cancer screenings and wellness exams • Low-cost and confidential health resources available regardless of insurance status. This canvass is focused on making sure community members are aware there are health resources available to them close to home. No prior canvassing experience is required.
