(Virtual Event) Wisconsin
Having conversations with your friends and family about the issues that matter to you, like reproductive health care, is one of the best ways you can become an advocate; but where do you start? Sometimes we get caught in debates or arguments and lose sight of the people who are impacted. For this reason, PPAWI is eager to share the Conversational Approach with you. Rooted in psychology, this interactive 2-hour training gives you the tools to have meaningful conversations and become more effective advocates. This approach to advocacy is used throughout PPAWI from staff to volunteers with the goal of changing hearts and minds. Using the approach, we’ll reconsider our assumptions about what it looks like to support the freedom to decide, acknowledge that people may have conflicted feelings, and find common ground based on shared values.
